In an interview with Prime Magazine, Dr. Bernard Lee addressed common misconceptions about pain and ageing.

He emphasised that pain is not a normal part of ageing, and people do not have to live with it as they grow older. Even in the presence of degeneration, it is still possible to live a pain-free life.

Dr. Lee also clarified that severe pain does not necessarily mean a condition is serious or requires surgery. Many patients assume surgery is the only option when pain worsens, but this is often not true.

He shared that there are alternative treatment approaches available, including minimally invasive procedures and specialised injections, which can effectively manage pain without the need for open surgery.
